A French liqueur made from green walnuts harvested in June, crushed and pressed to release their richly flavoured juice. This is mixed with neutral spirit and then aged in oak casks for three to four years. After ageing the walnut spirit is blended with brandies, including cognac and armagnac.
Eau de Noix Serres has been made by the Benoit Serres family since 1841, its flavour only derived from walnuts and brandy.

Clear, mahogany brown amber.
Dark chocolate, coffee.
Lightly syrupy with raisin, prune, muscovado sugar, honey cake vanilla and light nuttyness. Balancing tannins, bitter chocolate and espresso.
Espresso coffee and cacao finish with lingering dark chocolate.
