James Boag's brewing history dates back to 1881, with the establishment of Esk Brewery in the remote colonial settlement of Launceston, Tasmania. This Premium Lager was launched in 1994.
Sampled on 27/12/2011
Clear, golden amber with moderate white head which quickly fades to thin layer of foam.
Bland, Euro-lager, slightly skunky nose with faint cereal and floral hops.
Clean and refreshing, the nondescript palate has a touch of metallic about it with mild bready malt and faint hop spice.
Clean, mildly bitter finish.
