Appearance:
Cloudy, dark chestnut brown with a massive tan head which subsides to thin head without any lacing.
Aroma:
Hot Cross Bun nose, complete with candied citrus fruits and cinnamon, slight scent of liquorice.
Taste:
A savoury yet also slightly sweet caramel palate with slightly burnt raison fruit, dark malt and a dark earthy mushroom soup note. The high alcohol content spices things up.
Aftertaste:
Mocha coffee, burnt Christmas cake and mushroom soup with a pinch of peppery spice.
