Brewed in honour of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, Gonzo Imperial Porter is brewed with Warrior and Northern Brewer hops.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Very dark brown to the point of being virtually black and opaque beige medium which quickly subsides leaving moderate lacing.

Aroma:

Barbeque charcoal, roasted nuts and cacao with pine resiny hops and nubuck leather.

Taste:

Bitter chocolate and molasses with mocha coffee, hints of faint spearminty aniseed and alcohol bite.

Aftertaste:

Liquorice finish with alcohol and a hint of aniseed.
