This 100 per cent wheat-based vodka comes in a tetrahedral-shaped bottle designed by Lucy.D Design Studio, the shape apparently chosen because it corresponds with the vodka's molecular structure.
Apparently (according to Oval's website), after years of experimentation, in 2000 a Professor Valery Sorokin succeeded in structuring "alcohol and water in a way that meant each molecule of alcohol was surrounded completely by water molecules." This patented process "alters the structure of the solutions; water and alcohol form a unique crystalline structure and take on the form of a tetrahedron." We didn't understand what they were on about either.

Crystal clear.
Clean, very subdued nose with faint anise and liquorice.
The very clean palate bursts open with cracked black pepper, aniseed and liquorice. Faint hint of sweetness.
Slightly sweet finish with lingering liquorice.
