This revered 12-year-old Japanese single malt is produced and aged at the Miyagikyo Distillery, the largest of Nikka's largest of its two distilleries. Miyagikyo is noted for producing fruity sweet malts.

Clear, mid golden amber with bright golden highlights.
Biscuity vanilla with sherry, overripe fudgy banana and furniture polish.
Lovely nuttiness emerges (brazil nut, almond) over a fruity (green apple), vanilla cereal grain base. Faint peatyness.
Nuttiness lasts through the long lightly smoked finish.
