Named in celebration of Severn Valley Railway's Manor Class steam engines, this bitter amber ale is brewed with Maris Otter pale ale malt, roasted Crystal malt, Hobsons’ yeast and finished with Worcestershire Challenger and Golding hops. Bottled unfiltered.

Originally launched in 1996 under the name ‘Steam No.9’ before later being renamed Manor Ale.

Appearance:

(bb 10-Apr-13) Hazy, coppery amber with half finger thick white head which quickly fades to little more than a halo.

Aroma:

Cold tea and burnt caramel with zesty oranges, dried apricot, cacao and faint dung note.

Taste:

Earthy pine sap bitterness with caramel and zesty orange.

Aftertaste:

Caramel with orange zest and linger pine sap.
