This BenRiach 16 year-old expression championed by Cask Strength’s Neil Ridley and Joel Harrison was distilled in 1996 and aged for 12 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead and 4 in Pedro Ximenez casks. Bottled in July 2012, this release of 296 bottles from cask #5614 is appropriately bottled at 55.2%.

Όψη:

Clear, mid-golden amber with polished gold highlights.

Μύτη:

Toffee-apple, rich sherry and liquorice with spearmint freshness, cacao, delicate spice and a twist of lemon zest.

Στόμα:

Heavy chocolaty palate with liquorice, Christmas pudding sherry, dried figs and dates with woody tobacco.

Επίγευση:

Liquorice and caramel with dark chocolate and light cinnamon spice.
