Zinnebir refers to a Brussels word ‘zinneke’ which is slang for the mongrel dogs that used to live in the poor areas of the city along the Zinne. It’s now used to refer to young men living in the area who have one French-speaking and one Flemish-speaking parent.
Brew Master, Bernard LeBoucq, took this ale from his previous position at Sint Pieters brewery to his current position at Brasserie de la Senne. In the move it dropped from 8% to 5.8% in strength.
