Teeling Small Batch (80-100 casks per batch) is a 50/50 blend of malt and grain whiskies, 2/3rds 4 year old grain whiskey and one-third 7 year old malt whiskey aged in a high proportion of 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels. The whiskies are blended and finished for 6 months in ex-Flor de Caña rum casks.

Teeling Small Batch is bottled without chill filtration or caramel colouring.

Appearance:

(sample bottled Apr/15) Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Vanilla, fudge, peach, apricot and orange blossom with newly cut grass, cinnamon and clove spice. Baked apple and dried apple emerge with water..

Taste:

Toffee and vanilla fudge with nutty chocolate, rum and raison ice-cream dried with muscular woody tannins, nutmeg and cinnamon spice. More herbal with water.

Aftertaste:

Rum and raison, vanilla, toffee and lingering dry nutmeg and cinnamon spiced oak.

Overall:

Rum and raison, toffee and vanilla fudge help tame aggressive dry nutmeg and cinnamon spiced oak.
