The Wolfschmidt name dates back to a distillery in Riga, Latvia, which supplied 'ochishchenoje stolovoje vino' (rectified table wine, vodka) to Russian tsars Nikolaj I and Alexander III. Wolfschmidt vodka was introduced into the US in 1847, where the name is now owned by Beam Inc.

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Clean and neutral with white pepper spirity note and faint menthol and aniseed.

Taste:

Slightly sweet (sugar/glycerine suspected) and very clean with silky mouthfeel, black pepper spirit with very faint mint and aniseed.

Aftertaste:

Pleasing, sweet cracked black pepper finish.
