Launched in July 2013, this pale ale is part of Shepherd Neame’s Whitstable Bay Collection, named after the Kent coast fishing village of Whitstable, a range of beers sold under the brewery’s Faversham Steam Brewery alter ego.
The Faversham Steam Brewery name was originally used by Shepherd Neame in the 18th century when it became one of the first breweries outside of London to be steam-powered with a five-horse power Boulton and Watt engine.

Clear, coppery amber with thin white head. (Warning: Clear bottle!)
Lemon zest and pine with banana chews.
Gassy and medium bodied with pronounced malt and hops yet bitterness lacks balancing sweet malty notes and depth of flavour.
Lingering bitterness and little else.
