Released in “limited” but unspecified quantities in March 2014, Tormore 14 Year Old is aged in American oak casks and bottled without chill-filtration.
Sampled on 24/03/2014
Clear, coppery amber.
Creamy fresh peach, barley sugar, overripe banana, linseed oil, leather, toasted oak and dried apple. Water reveals custard cream biscuit aromas.
Slightly sweet, white and black pepper, baked apple and pear, cinnamon and nutmeg spice. A dash of water softens but adds little and upsets this whisky’s balance.
Vanilla, cooked orchard fruit, mild toasty oak and subtle spice.
