Organic and bottle condition, Withens Pale Ale is brewed with Cascade hops. It was formerly known as Withens IPA but was renamed in 2011 to avoid confusion with Little Valley’s more recently introduced Python IPA.

Review and Tasting


Sampled on 13/12/2015

Appearance:

(sample bot BBE Oct/16) Faint haze, pale golden amber with moderate retentive white head and little lacing.

Aroma:

Herbal white bread crust, piney, hay and dried grass hops. Faint grapefruit.

Taste:

Light bodied with moderate bitterness and soft carbonation. White bread crust with grassy and citrusy hops.

Aftertaste:

Moderately bitter, dry, dried grassy finish.

Overall:

Light in alcohol, body and interest, with moderate dried grass and citrusy hop bitterness.
