Review and Tasting

Sampled on 04/07/2020

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Grainy with light spirituous spice. Honey notes are so faint as to be barely detectable.

Taste:

Honey adds mouthfeel and roundness to this surprisingly spicy vodka (spice perhaps due to pot distillation) but very little in the way of honey flavour.

Aftertaste:

Lingering spirituous spice.

Overall:

A final gin-like pot still distillation imparts honey character but Avosh Bottlebrush Honey Vodka is not what most would expect from "honey-flavoured vodkas" and indeed it does not present itself as such. It is perhaps best described as being honey-influenced rather than honey-flavoured.
