I like to make my Daiquiris from a 50/50 blend of Bacardi Carta Blanca (37.5% alc./vol) and Bacardi Limited Edition Heritage (44.5% alc./vol.) which yields a delicious rum at the perfect 41%. With Bacardi's approval and some help from friends with bottling, we've done the blending for you.
This first batch of Difford's Bacardi Heritage Rum Blend comes in a crown-cap sealed 50cl bottle with a natural cork supplied to use to stopper the rum once opened.

Crystal clear.
Bamboo wood, delicate citrus, and faint grilled almond with the all-important signature hints of blue cheese and mushroom soup that I put down to Bacardi's yeast strain.
Very faint muscovado sugar sweetness with blue cheese, pear, vanilla, caramel, and the meerest enlivening pinch of black pepper spice.
Medium to long. Bamboo, mushroom soup and black pepper spice.
Different rums suit different cocktails and for my early evening palate refreshing Daiquiri I like to use charcoal filtered light rum, and I particularly like the flavours of bamboo, mushroom soup and black pepper spice that I associate with Carta Blanca. However, 37.5% is not quite enough oomph while 44.5% is a tad too much. Hence I blend the two. As well as boosting the strength, Heritage also seems to amplify the mushroom soup notes which (strangely) are so delicious in my Daiquiri recipe.
