Review and Tasting

Sampled on 20/12/2014

Appearance:

(sample best before 16-Apr-16) Clear, deep coppery amber with thin but retentive off-white head and thin lacing.

Aroma:

Malty caramel with dried fruit and Christmas cake.

Taste:

Toasted malts, burnt caramel and burnt currants with appropriate hints of nutty Christmas pudding. Obvious spirity notes from high alcohol content.

Aftertaste:

Toasty malt and black pepper corns. Overall: Deceptively easy to drink considering its high alc./vol. with appropriate dried fruit and faint nuttiness.
