Review and Tasting
Sampled on 30/05/2017
Appearance:
(sample bottle batch 01/2016, 1 of 2000 bottles) Crystal clear.
Aroma:
Dairy chocolate, cacao beans, roasted coffee beans, Terry's chocolate orange and faint spearmint-like scents.
Taste:
Coffee and chocolate powder with subtle zesty orange, faint cardamom and mild peppery spice. Slightly sweet.
Aftertaste:
Creamy dark chocolate and coffee with subtle zesty orange and lingering spearmint-like freshness.
Overall:
Complex and delicate, this flavoured spirit is perhaps more chocolatey than it is coffee-flavoured. Subtle notes of zesty orange add freshness. Serve directly from the fridge or freezer. Very good but obviously not an "Espresso Martini" or even a "Martini".
