The second limited edition of Camus' Port Cask Finish was released in September 2019 and this second edition was finished in casks previously used to age port, specifically tawny port.

Review and Tasting


Sampled on 24/11/2019

Appearance:

(sample edition #2, bottled 13/June/19) Clear. Mid-deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Caramel, dried fruit, black cherry and dark chocolate with light cinnamon.

Taste:

Vanilla fudge, caramel, dried fruit and black cherry with cinnamon and black pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Vanilla fudge with cinnamon and black pepper spice.

Overall:

Port has imparted pleasing rich black cherry and dark chocolate to this cognac, along with invigorating cinnamon and black pepper spice. A good accompaniment to a cigar.
