How to make:

Toasted Coconut Flakes
100g Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
Method:
Heat up a pan over medium heat
Once hot add the coconut flakes and toast them until golden brown making sure that they don't burn.
Toasted Coconut-Infused Tequila
1500ml Lost Explorer Tequila = 2 bottles
100g Toasted Coconut Flakes

Method:
Combine Tequila & Toasted Coconut Flakes in sous vide bag
Sous vide at 62°C (145 Fahrenheit) for 2 hours
Let it cool down to room temperature
Keep in the freezer for 4-6 hours or overnight
After freezing scrape off solid fats if needed, discard
Strain remaining liquid through chinois layered with cheesecloth ensuring no sediments are left over
Bottle & label

- If sous vide and freezing is too much effort -> Leave out the sous vide & freezing step and infused the toasted coconut at room temperature for 12 hours. Strain the out the coconuts and use the infusion right away. The freezing part is solely to filter out tiny oil particles and for added aesthetics - doesn't change the flavour profile or texture for Tidewake :)

Method: Stir & strain
Glass: Rocks glass + King Cube

5/6 fl oz Mandarine Napoleon liqueur
1/2 fl oz Noilly Prat Extra Dry
1/2 fl oz Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur
1 dash Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water)
1 1/2 fl oz the Lost Explorer Blanco No. 1 Tequila
