Support The Teams: Plantation Rum Cup 2021

Bar teams across Australia and New Zealand are competing together for the inaugural Plantation Rum Cup. Here's how to support your favourite bars and bartenders.

The teams are assembled, the cocktails submitted and the game is afoot.

Plantation Rum has asked bar teams – of two or three which must include at least one bartender, and one person from another area of the venue – to create a Plantation Rum cocktail using rums from the
Bartender Classics or the Signature Blends ranges and promote for a minimum of six weeks in their venue.

That six weeks started this week, after which the cocktail, as well as the promotion and sales, will be judged. One finalist from each territory will be flown to Sydney Bar Week for the showdown at the Grand Final.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

First, the bars have to shift some of their delicious rum cocktails to get to the final. Better head out and help them.

Plantation Rum have said any covid closures will be taken into account throughout the judging process and venues are being encouraged to consider how their Plantation Rum Cup cocktail could feature on takeaway menus if restrictions are implemented in their states.
