After trying the newly launched CÎROC French Vanilla Vodka which we rate highly, we jumped at the offer of having World Class champion bartender, Jamie Jones, pop around to our bar to demonstrate some of the latest cocktails which harness this new vodka’s rich flavours.
Vanilla is one of the universally liked flavours - who doesn't vanilla? It's also a flavour linked with indulgencies such as ice-cream, milk shakes, and my favourite, crème brûlée. First up is the CÎROC Star Martini, which is similar to a Porn Star Martini but made more complex by Rhubarb aperitif.
Glass: Martini
Garnish: Float half a passionfruit
Method: Shake first 5 ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass. Lastly, pour the champagne into a shot glass which is served alongside.
Being a punch, the St Tropez is perfectly suited to a party or get together with the recipe below for eight people. Simply pour all the ingredients into a large punch bowl with a block of ice (which we suggest you make by filling an ice-cream tub with filtered water and placing in your freezer) and stirring. Use a ladle to fill the glasses of your family and friends.
Glass: Punch bowl & punch glasses
Garnish: Dried apricots & mint sprigs
Method: Pour all ingredients into punch bowl filled over a large block of ice and stir. Once ingredients are well mixed and chilled, ladle into individual glasses as required.
Lastly, as the name suggests, the most indulgent of the three cocktails.
Glass: Balloon
Garnish: Grapes, Long orange zest studded with cloves, star anise and aromatic herbs
Method: Pour all ingredients into ice-filed glass and stir until mixed well and chilled.
