Nice variation of a Martini. I used a dry London Gin, Cocchi Americano and Manzanilla sherry on mine. The orange flavor was nicely prevalent.
Irrelevant side note: I made this for my dad on his 90th birthday a few days ago, since his name is also Alberto. He also thoroughly enjoyed it :)
Very nice wet martini but perhaps a bit sweet for my tastes and more in the Martinez family as is. Very enjoyable though. I upped the gin to 45 ml, dropped the sherry to 20ml and used 15 ml cocchi americano with only 7.5ml triple sec. Next time I’m going to try amontillado as it should go well with the olive leaf gin, lower the triple sec to 5ml and up the cocchi a bit to get some more bitterness.
An odd but beguiling martini variation. Will definitely make this one again - and I don't say that of all of them! Possibly worth mentioning I'm using Aviation gin for my martinis at the moment, and it really works for this one as there's less juniper to compete with the sherry and triple sec.
