Crazy drink, and not in a good way. The absinthe is the only saving grace from the over the top grenadine and peach liqueur. And fizzy lemonade on top? I decided to eventually to do it as a 'Press' with half lemonade and standard soda.

Perhaps best to pour lemonade into the shaker (after shaking) and then strain, or pour lemonade at the same time as straining. I've amended above accordingly.

The fact that I took three sips of this is a testament to the philosophy of never judging a book by its cover or, rather, a cocktail recipe by its repulsive list of ingredients. Forget where the 'Weeping Jesus' part enters the equation. I love everything about this. (22 Jun 2023, 9:21a)

The absinthe showed up as a burst of herbaceous up front and a note of licorice at the end of this very adult shaved ice. Wouldn’t drink it in the throes of winter but as a summer cocktail, this is not too sweet despite the grenadine and peach, and it will go in rotation for my more adventurous friends.
