Made for the first time last night using Indian jaisalamer gin and again tonight using Gin Mare. Loved both versions. Followed the ‘recipe’ using about 3 mls of sugar syrup. I liked the Spring Feeling a lot more than The LastWord. I have found a new favourite. Thank you😃

Had this again, but we eliminated all the sugar syrup. Resulted in a cocktail which had a touch of sweetness, but wonderfully herbal. Very refreshing.

Mixed per the recipe with wet ice, with one exception: our simple is 1:1. For us, an excellent balance, rich with herbs from the Chartreuse and botanicals from the gin. (Bombay is what was close to hand.)

This has potential to become a staple before-dinner sipper on sunny days.

Although I am no real lover of Maraschino, a "Last Word" is IMHO the preferable cocktail.

Excellent. Liking dry cocktails, used 1/2 the amount of sugar syrup. The gin and Chartreuse adds huge burst of flavours. The lemon adds wonderful citrus highlights. Perfect before dinner or as an afternoon sipper.

I used Meyer lemon which isn’t as tart as other varieties. The Harry Craddock versions works fine, sans sucre.
