It is not rather a "Gin Cyn" ?

Gin-Cyn would appear to make more sense, so I've added it as an AKA. However, the consensus is that this cocktail is a Cin-Cyn.

The name appears to be a play on the common Italian toast, "cin cin," reflecting the use of Cynar in the drink.
