Thank you Simon for this great cocktail! I used Tanqueray instead of Monkey, although I am based in Germany š¤, Amaro Nonino and DeKuyper Banana. In this combination Luxardo is too dominant although the cocktail is still excellent. Next time I would up the Banana and the Amaro a little bit.
Okay, I'll admit my mistakes right away - I made this with Hayman's rather than 47. I didn't read the instructions carefully so that's on me. *Still*, however, this is a wonderful cocktail where the herbs from the chartreuse plays with the banana liqueur and the maraschino in a lovely way. It's on the sweet side of a sour, sure, but personally I think sours can be a tad too sour so this is perfectly balanced to me. Next time I'll make it with 47.
Taste is subjective and my palate is not always in sync with others cocktail ratingsā¦
but omg I did love this one.
Boozy balanced and complex - great job on this one Simon
