I haven't even made this cocktail yet, but the name made me laugh out loud, so I have to make it (I am an American of a Certain Age). I've ordered some of the ingredients; others I'll improvise as I normally have Fino on hand rather than Amontillado. Will report back.

Made this with a Fino Sherry and Pear Brandy and it was excellent. We'll never know how much better Mondale/Ferraro would have been than Reagan/Bush...
I am old enough to remember the Vice President and his run for the presidency.
The cocktail has a warm taste with a strong sherry flavour as an aftertaste. We used Laird's Applejack 86 which has a stronger apple flavour than the Calvados and is a bit higher in proof. The hints of autumnal fruit are also present.
