Made with a great aged pisco instead of the mediocre cognac that I have. Turned out delicious, got into my favourites.

Perfect nightcap. A solid cre'ole style cocktail with a light and herbal note from the suze and blanc vermouth that makes for a complex and delicious drink. Absolut banger.
I was a bit naughty and added another dash of orange bitters just for fun. Cheers!

Lightly complex with a lovely nose of all the ingredients rolling together (not fighting) and a delicate mouth feel.. Nice

Small note—should be "Nouveau Carré", as adjectives defining the beauty, age, number, goodness, and size of an object go in front of the noun.

Although perhaps not grammatically correct, Matthias (who is French) named his cocktail "Carré Nouveau" so not something I can change.

Although I didn’t have Benedictine, or gentian (subbed angostura) this is a very nice cocktail tail. I like Lillet blanc instead of sweet vermouth. Try it!

Really like this riff on the Vieux Carre. I prefer it a bit less sweet, so reduced Suze and Benedictine by about 15%. Delicious!
