This is a cocktail that's aged well even for a classic. It's very dry and punchy, but the minerality and nutty notes from the sherry really works to balance it all.
A dry, Sherry forward cocktail. I used Amontillado and it really gave the cocktail the woody/tobacco, herbal flavor typical of the Amontillado. The taste will really vary with the sherry you use.
This is a good aperitivo. I must admit, I am not the biggest fan of sherry, so if you are a fan of sherry, I really think you will like this. Its is nicely dry so perfect for before dinner.
