Great complexity and balance. And more gentle on the alcohol than some other Grogs, losing nothing thereby.

As a big Navy rum drinker, this cocktail is good, but not great. I felt it lacked something, but not sure what. I did feel the rum was a bit muted in the drink. It went very well with a spicy meal.

I got a similar feeling. Added 1/3oz of spiced pineapple rum liqueur. Seemed to lift it a bit
