Second time making this in the last 1o days. First time with peppermint essential oil. Too over the top minted. Just bought Luxardo Del Santo today. It's distinct from Chartreuse but similar enough. Fee Bros mint bitters is not far off from the essential oil, but just with bitter undercurrent.... too much vermouth presence. I shifted to 45 ml Irish, 20 ml vermouth and that went too far. Wondering if anyone has a better blend.

is it weird that I have chartreuse elixir and not mint bitters? regardless, that's the substitution I made and it was quite good

Instead of Mint bitters I added a few drops of Fernet Branca, and 1/2oz Green Chartreuse

I used Antica Formula vermouth and Fee Brothers mint bitters. Delicious blend of flavors, and maybe even one of my new favorites, although the mint was a touch strong. Are Fee mint bitters more intense than Bob's? In the next one I might use a drop or two less.

Very nice. I had it edging slightly on the sweet side, but a lovely light mint flavour with a touch of Chartreuse. I enjoyed it a lot.
