Is it an idea to swap bourbon for let's say a bold agricole rhum?

Vey nice, but certainly not dry enough for my taste. I'd cut the maraschino in half next time.
Yep, good one. Layered old fashioned.
I...thought I liked agricole before trying this. I still do, but hoo boy this is not a drink for me. I love that funky grass flavour of (in the nicest possible way) stagnant water and petrol. But...this gives it nowhere to hide and nothing to accent. It's very hot and very pungent. I'll put this very definitely down to "not for me" rather than a fault of the drink though.
What agricole rhum did you use? It's an awesome cocktail on itself, but emphasize on the rhum used. Lots of choices indeed.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I see the Kingston funk is comming from the Plantation Pineapple, it's base is the Original Dark from Plantation, which is a blend of Jamaican and Bajan rum. Still could use a bit more funk to my taste. My wife on the other hand needs a little less funk. Still excellent!
Used peppermint oil 2 drops, awesome drink.
That is an awesome layered Halloween drink!
Availability in Holland is terrible! Any substitutes known for this Bitter Bianco?
Nice summery spritz!
But i raised the cider to 150ml. I found the St.Germain a bit overpowered. I think it's more balanced this way.
Lovely fruity drink.
Cane rock spiced and El Dorado 8yo did the trick. Awesome cocktail!
Made it with Tsipouro Dekaraki Malagouzia and the only English style rum at hand was Doorly 8yo. Very, very nice bit herbal Old Fashioned.
Sort of a smoky Negroni. Very nice use of Mezcal. Good one!
Very well balanced aperitif. Pretty dry and herbal.
Made one with 20ml Cocchi vermouth and 10ml Monin Falernum. Lovely drink!
One of the best Mezcals, for a reasonable price. Good!
Flor de Cana 7yo 50ml, Clairin Communal 10ml, Monin Falernum Syrup 7,5ml and 2 dashes Elemakule Tiki Bitters garnished with an expressed lime zest. My recipe for an Tiki Rum Old Fashioned; what a treat!!!
Funky and grassy Clairin Communal used, what a treat!!
Used 2,5ml of Pomegranate Molasses instead of 10ml POM juice. Still keeps it's Negroni bite and has an awesome berries profile. A keeper!
Added Zuidam Kaneel Likeur instead of cinnamon syrup. Less sweet and a bit boozier. Spicy whisky sour, loved it!
I'm finding Old Fashioneds too sweet, wondering if there is a drier version that tastes great.
Also, try it with an oleo saccharum of sevilla oranges, bonedry, bitter but still somewhat sweet. Instead of oleo you may try marmalade, but that is not that dry/bitter.
With a little adjustment: 5ml of Oleo Saccharum of Bitter Orange peel extra. Great!
Made with Oleo Saccharum Bergamotte. Very, very tasty!
Is there a substitute for the advocaat? I can't find it here
Advocaat isn't that hard to make. Egg yolk, sugar and some neutral spirit; vodka or genever/gin. Stir really good until it is creamy.
