There are versions of the Last Word since its revival in the early 2000’s. I had this at the Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah Georgia. The restaurant is Pacci, it’s in the hotel. The cocktail menu is very creative and the food is excellent.

Many thanks, Betsey. There are numerous mezcal variations on the last word, but few with tequila. Hence, I’ll be sure to add the Famous Last Word No. 3 to Difford’s Guide in the coming weeks, and I'll also credit Pacci restaurant.

The quinine (the key ingredient in tonic water) is the lead botanical in Americano Bianco.
