This is a personal favourite and a regular on my drink list.
Needs a good smooth Anejo to allow the cacaos to come through but one that can still give a bite to the drink. I keep whole nutmegs just for this drink.
Look up the Melon Collie Martini if you enjoy this one.
So darn good i had to plonk down a comment. Both white and dark creme de cacao are underrated, and the anejo is taking a backseat and letting them shine. For chocolate lovers
Asked the bartenders at The Booking Office in Kings Cross to make me one of these last night. (I think they used the classic equal parts Alexander recipe as they didn't have a Difford's Guide handy... but added a little bit more white creme de cacao after tasting it.) More to the point, though, both the bartenders and they were surprised just how good this turned out. Will definitely make again.
