I will have to add more ginger liqueur to give this anything other than mediocre. It’s too heavy on rye and bourbon, unless that’s your thing. I’m personally of the belief that if it’s more than bourbon and rye , it should taste that way. I was not impressed with this blend.

Better than its parent. But still a bit sharp for us. So we added 10ml Meletti which softened and rounded it out nicely for us.

And we served it straight up in a Coupe glass. We are very averse to dilution.

I really liked it! Warm and spicy. Next time I want to try a bit more ginger and less amaretto. Not sure if it will be better but I love ginger and I’ll definitely want to make this again.

Somewhere in the melee of whisky, spice and ginger, with the right amount and type of sweetness, is God's own cocktail. Pray we discover it.

Even after trying again with a much subtler bourbon (I used a rye heavy one the first time) I found the ginger and amaretto got lost in the whiskies. Probably would work if I went all bourbon but don't think I'll try a third time.

Fantastic. Makes me happy to have bought my first bottle of ginger liqueur.

This is a lovely drink. Agree with the previous comment that it’s well balanced. I love ginger and this just has a nice hint of it.

This is perfectly balanced. Was concerned it would be a bit sweet, but everything works well together. There is a burst of various flavours, but nothing overpowers the others. Great variation of the Godfather.
