Very lively - maraschino notes dominate (no surprise), but pear eau-de-vie also peeks in as well. The chardonnay lenthens the drink, and helps bring out the cherry fruit a bit. A great way to liven up a bottle of chardonnay (or other dry white, I'm sure), especially if you appreciate maraschino.
