Didn't have vodka to try as written so I substituted pisco quebranta/London dry gin three to one with pleasing results. Perhaps should have fine strained after shaking to minimize dilution but the flavors of the pisco and gin surely filled in some of the blanks left by the vodka.
After reading all the comments, I kinda knew what to expect, a very light, refreshing drink that (to me) was very elderflower liqueur prominent. This will make a very nice summer/poolside/beachside drink.
Pretty much ok. It's refreshing but maybe a bit flat ? (or it may be me who like stronger drinks)
The elderflower feels fine on the tongue, apple is subtile. I don't really taste the orange (but it smell "orange-y").
I found this OK. It may be my taste, but I did find it a bit flat in flavour. Would consider trying again with part regular vodka and part citron vodka. Need more orange hints for me.
Just tried it but with pisco/gin 3/1 instead of vodka. After reading all the comments, thought this could be one solution to the flatness problem, and it definitely added some dimention to the drink.
Very vodka-forward at first sip. Used much wetter ice for second go and a true highball glass for more tonic water. Perfect for quenching thirst at the end of a day filled with moving heavy furniture.
