Delicious, near exact copy of a margarita - although a bit more like a Tommy's (no surprise, since no triple sec), but is it a bit sweeter than a Tommy's (again, no surprise with the use of the rich syrup and cordial). I found the mezcal very pleasant. It gave a nice earthiness (IMO certainly not an oppressive smokiness - but I like mezcal). So - an excellent cocktail, but IDK how often I am without a suitable orange liqueur and instead happen to have a lime cordial (and lemon juice) on hand.
