I didn't have maple schrub, so I used a rhubarb shrub instead . The cognac is the star here, then apricot flavors come in and brings sweetness, and eventually a pleasant bitter finish. Very nice cocktail indeed for those who like Cognac.

A slightly herbal Daiquiri, refreshing with complexity. I used a Plantation Dark Rum (my favorite Black Rum), but lime juice overwhelms all ingredients. Next time I will reduce lime juice a little bit (20ml) or use an overproof old jamaican rum. Anyway, I recommend this cocktail and making your own adjustments.
Quite sweet and boozy, yet it is a well balanced drink and I liked it. I shaked with crush ice to have more dilution, added a dash of saline solution, and used Martin Miller Gin and Rhum agricole overproof. Great, but I will try next time with Jamaican overproof rum.
Refreshing, flavors are quite complex but it is still very easy to drink. I tried it with a home-made shrub orange and it was really good. If you like vermouth, you should try this recipe. Great for hot summer days!
Outstanding. Chartreuse is an exceptional liqueur, and this recipe sublimates it. Fortunately, I made too much pineapple juice, so I have a good excuse to drink another one...
The pimento dram with its clove flavor comes first, then the rum with the lime. Tasty, boozy, well balanced, and the texture is great. I like it!
Highly recommended! I recommend adding 2 drops of saline solution to amplify the fresh citrus and to temper the sweetness of Campari.
I have reformulated the recipe to suit my taste: 10ml of honey syrup (ratio 2:1), 60ml of grapefruit juice, a drop of saline solution and grapefruit bitter.
My first recipe was really disappointing. I used Bacardi 8, Plantation Dark rum for the float and my DIY Falernum liqueur (which is pretty good). I tried a second recipe and it was quite good (but not great): Plantation Barbados, Plantation OFTD 69% for the float, my DIY Falernum liqueur, 15 ml lime juice and 5 ml rich syrup (2:1). It is possible to make this cocktail better by changing the rum, so as Simon Difford said: your choice of ingredients! This cocktail can range from 1 star to 5 stars.
I didn't use cranberry bitters, and I use home-made passion fruit syrup (1:1). It is a bit too sweet for my taste, but still a good cocktail with Disaronno. I would consider to add one dash of orange bitters next time.
Not balanced for me me, lemon is too powerful. Next time, I will try to use 15ml Orange liquor instead of 7,5ml Cointreau, and no sugar syrup.
Quite good indeed.Fruity, just a little sweet and very pleasant bitterness.
Quite dangerous because it is boozy and tastes so good.
Perfectly balanced, it is great with Bacardi 8, and probably great with other rums if you experiment a bit. 5 stars for me!
More sweet than sour, it looks very gentle at first sight. Pleasant, but too sweet for my palate.
Elderfower dominates too much in my opinion, and taste is really basic. Grapefuit juice and elderflower should marry well, but I would choose another recipe.
Amazed by this cocktail. Marriage of Bourbon, Calvados and Sweet Vermouth is creating a new flavor, like in Tiki drinks when you mix different rums. This one is quite strong (don't hesitate to dilute it when you stir), but perfectly balanced. You can use any Calvados AOC Pays d'Auge "Fine" (ie 2 years old or less), but use a Wild Turkey Bourbon and a Martini Rosso Vermouth, as the balance is the key to enjoy this cocktail.
