A friend recommended the 4:2:1 ratio, which Simon's ratio conforms to. I stick to my prohibition style of 3:2:1 Jameson works well. Ditch the egg-white foam. Bitters are optional or only if I remember. Garnish with a maraschino cherry. Love it
Simon. Very nuanced.
Here's the KISS Gimlet
2 shots of London dry Gin
1 shot lime cordial (I use Bickfords)
1 shot of fresh lime or lemon juice
Can't beat the 3:2:1 ratio. 3 shots Jamieson, 2 shots lemon, 5/6 sugar syrup. Pass on the egg white.
3 ice cubes
Sprinkle salt
1 Gin
2 Pink Grapefruit juice
Orange garnish
