I think probably my zest wasn't very zesty/oily. I did think the grenadine overpowered even with 2 zests, so added a slice, which helped a bit. I wonder about trying next time with less grenadine... would that work?
is the choice of celery gin deliberate? You don't comment on it. I wondered whether it was especially well matched to the vesper over say rutte normal gin?
Absolutely delicious - now my favourite martini (and the one sip martini is not usually enough - it is so moreish). I'm so glad to have been introduced via this cocktail to the Abrato which sings along so well with the fino and that last lovely touch of stuffed olive (stuffing the olives beforehand wets the palate in anticipation!)
Thanks for your reply... the link as I see it is still to the (as you say equally impressive) celery gin. There's nothing else for it, I'll have to try it with both as well as giving the olive bitters a try!

the recipe calls for celery gin but the purchase link is the dry - which one is the error please?
