Interesting cocktail, I think it is better with a couple of Angostura bitters dashes
Made with Rittenhouse Rye rather than Bourbon (I prefer a ‘barely legal’ rye to bourbon for Manhattans and a Sazerac) with Averno Amaro and Carpano Antico vermouth. I added 5ml sugar syrup and 10ml Pierre Ferrand orange cucacao and really enjoyed the result.

I suggest you to try 50:50 peated whiskey:bourbon. My preferred recipe:
40ml Port Charlotte 10
40ml Elijah Craig Small Batch
15ml sugar syrup
3 dash Angostura bitters

This recipe works, but I prefer more mint leafs (20-22) and 2:1:1 rum:lime juice:sugar syrup.
I recommend to try it by replacing Scotch with Rye. 2:1 Rye:Drambuie +2 dash Angostura Bitters; just perfect!
