Had this Vermut i Barcelona, just on the rocks, lemon peel and two olives on a toothpick. Definitely my new go to aperitif. So long Daiquiris (for a while).

My new favourite! Great example of a drink where the various ingredients make a better totality than any one on their own. Just the right strength, (I stirred 25 secs on large ice cubes) just the right sweetness for a great attack and just the right bitterness to want more. A negroni with six ingredients instead of three. :-D
Absolutely great Rum/lime cocktail variation. (I never get tired of them) Used Smith&Cross, Montenegro and Taylors Velvet Falernum. Perhaps unorthodox I skipped the crushed ice and served it on the shaken ice. Good enough for me. :-)
I just opened my new bottle of Vermouth, a Chazalettes. Turned out almost wine-like, very little vermouth in that vermouth. So I guess this discussion about ratios completely depends on which vermouth you choose. Unfortunately Dolin is not available here.
Absolutely refreshing! Great alternative to a regular Negroni. I used Olmeca Altos Reposado, Carpano Bitter and Spriteriet Röd (red) Vermouth.
Is the Aperol switched to Select? I thought it was Aperol. No matter, I happen to have also Select at home.
Any thoughts on the choice of bitter sweet?
The 51 is the best Vodka I have ever tried. Enjoyable to sip even at room temperature.
I made this with the whole egg and liked it a lot. Felt as the yolk swallowed the intensity of the Chartreuse. The orange water really makes the difference. Do not want to change the recipe.
I wonder if someone has switched the wine to a sparkling wine, blanc de blancs or sparkling wine from sauvignon blanc. Like shaking other ingredients and topping with the sparkling wine.
I have now twice added 10 ml of Triple sec and I think this drink gets even better. I have even tried the original at a world top-50 bar! I know it is a sacrilege to alter a classic drink like this. But the lemon/lime/orange water/vanilla-mix just loves triple sec in my opinion.
I thought the Campari dominated a bit, so halved it and took equal amounts of Montenegro. It was awesome!!
30 ml rye
30 ml mancino bianco
15 ml Campari
15 ml Amaro Montenegro
Why the shake?
try 50 ml grand marnier and 30 ml Rum instead, ur welcome :P
#3 ?
There is an alternative recipe for an Intercooler though, pronounced Intercoolar and made famous on Swedish Island of Gotland in the early 90-ies. Equal parts Fanta lemon and 36% vodka (Brännvin special) and Isostar sports drink (isotonic) powder. Zero garnish.
Lacking strawberries I used cloudberries!! What a match!
