Pleasantly sour, light smokey perfume and a hint of bitter towards the end. I miss the herbal punch of the yellow Chartreuse in the parent cocktail but the perfume of the elderflower is a welcome stand-in. Yum
I just ran out of green so I subbed yellow chartreuse. Throughly enjoyable and still finely balanced. Can’t wait to see how the green adds to the party
Mint-forward, balanced on the sweet side, round and yummy. A fine cocktail that I will visit again without adjustment
Refreshing with a kick. Nice balance but tame. I will use just hot honey syrup next time. The orange juice is a nice touch
Enjoyed this cocktail but it is a bit one dimensional
I was skeptical. This drink is well balanced and citrus forward with a strong backbone of bourbon. I did a full shake but will try a whip shake the next time to add a bit of gravity. I’m also a big fan of a few drops of saline with citrus. Will report if I repeat
