Harmless harvest (available in the US at least) makes a sparkling coconut water that is brilliant in this when used instead of the soda water.

Absolutely my favorite rendition so far. The maraschino shines in the background. I've tried this with many rums: Appleton signature is very good. I also like the richness of Hamilton 86 in this.
Try this with St. George's Aqua Perfecta (a basil brandy) instead of creme de menthe. Absolutely divine.
I made this drink exactly and it was great (my rating was based on that).
I then remade the drink with Granada-Vallet (a bitter pomegranate liqueur from Mexico) instead of Campari, and it was out of this world. It rounds out the negroni with flavors of gentian, fresh jalapeño and lime zest.
Highly recommend the variation if you can get your hands on a bottle.
Went through this one twice, once with the original and once with 20 ml campari. Really liked the second version, maybe because my passionfruit syrup was a bit sweeter? Either way, great drink.
Excellent drink for a scorching summer!
Absolutely love this one. I've had this enough to have tried a lot of variants. My favorite is subbing in 1.5 oz of Smith & Cross instead of the gold rum, and a drier coffee liqueur (Mr. Black or Tempus Fugit).
A bar spoon of agave syrup helps this one feel a bit fuller in the middle, but a very good drink overall.
This was good, but a bit empty. I subbed Laird's BIB Applejack for the vodka, and added a dash of Angostura bitters and the drink came out great.
