This has become one of my favourite “treat myself cocktails”. I’m using Avallen Calvados and St Remy Signature Brandy. I have made this for a few dinner guests and they’ve been very impressed with it. I think it has a good balance of complexity and accessibility. The only reason it’s a treat cocktail is because the ingredients (Calvados, G Chartreuse) are very expensive here in Canada.
If you enjoy a Last Word, try it. If you enjoy this, the Wardays Cocktail is really nice too.

First time I made this it was a touch too sour, and neon yellow in colour (no access to ‘quality’ creme de banane). I upped the demerera and the colour and taste improved greatly. Quite delicious and matching the description
This was much better than I had expected. I used Tanqueray Malacca and it was just perfect for this.
I’m not sure what I did wrong with this one, but it turned out incredibly chalky.
This is definitely different. Wouldn't be my first pick for an orange based brunch drink but it adds a a different dynamic.
I enjoyed this one. Love the bright pink colour and surprising complexity. Looks like a sweet drink but is not. Would reccomend.
