"Spirit forward" is definitely the phrase for this one. Cognac dominates.
I will give this a try but using my favourite peaty whisky Laphroaig and I only think of clansmen as wearing Kilts!
Just made this with Laphroaig. Quite tasty!
This is a tasty, sweeter rif on the Martini. Wouldn't want it all the time, but it is an intriguing change of pace.
Used Averna instead of Lucano. Still get some licorice, but the Calvados stands out. Boozy.
Sweeter than I thought it would be. Real interesting though. First experience of Byrrh.
