This is a neat one. An alternate to a negroni, but much like a negroni I might play with the radios and find my perfect balance. I just bought my first bottle of Cynar and really love it. This drink is drying and astringent on the tongue and really quite pleasant. The gin I feel gets a bit lost so I may wish to up the amount of gin by a bit, or use a navy strength. This will stay in my rotation though, I do like it.

Wow. Interesting, and bizarre, at the same time. Very tart, and the secondary flavours that come in are the body of the lime with the allspice/clove of the becherovka, which sort of makes an abrubt left turn. I think this one might be an acquired taste (not in a bad way). Certainly one of the more unique flavour combinations. I'm resisting the urge to add a dash more simple to it to round it out a bit more and take the edge off the super tart lime, but I'll hold off for a few more sips at least.

Update: Okay the drink seems to have come together nicely, and now I have this neat tart tingle on my tongue which plays with the clove spice of the becherovka. I see how this one is supposed to work now. Very nice.

This is a nice one. Bold, boozy, and full of flavours. I used Wild Turkey 101, and I sprayed the glass with pernod instead of absinthe (it's expensive where I am). The 101 stands up well to the maraschino and the bitters and pernod flavours dance on tongue. Perfect for the winter holiday season.

Delicious. As it says on the tin - dry and floral, long and refreshing. I used my home-made tonic syrup and shook with everything, and then topped with a couple oz of soda.

This is a nice and rounded, almost refreshing drink. Slightly on the sweet side for me, so I might slightly up the gin just for more of a bite.

Interesting combination. I'm using tonic syrup and soda water instead of tonic water. The tonic and vermouth complement each other nicely bitter-fruity. I used 2oz of gin (because I normally do my negronis at 2:1:1) and it's taking a a back seat beneath the tonic and vermouth. I'll probably play with it to balance them all together to my liking. I feel like more bite is needed on the gin, so I might ease back on the tonic and vermouth a bit.

Took me a second try to appreciate this drink. Not sure what went wrong the first time, perhaps I got the measurements wrong. I think this drink is neat for the balance of the vermouths and orange juice which play nice together, and a bit of gin peppery-ness pokes up from underneath. Feels a bit heavy, in thickness. The orange makes me want to lighten it up with a dash of soda or something (though that might very well ruin it. Not my favourite, but I'm glad I gave it an extra shot.

Interesting. I always had it without any sugar. The little drop adds a roundness to it (as one would expect).

I just bought this on a whim - it's amazing, I love it! I'm very fond of cloves so this is little surprise. The sweetness is well proportioned and has a nice bitter, herbal finish. Very enjoyable! I'm hunting of some cocktails to make with it...

Two words I'd use to describe this cocktail: "tangy" and "silky" and I think they complement each other very well.

Just made one of these after a while - what a delicious treat! I use aqua faba (the juice from a tin of chickpeas) instead of egg white, and I use an full ounce at that. I also like to do my bitters dashes on top of the foam, rather than shaken in with it. One part I missed was dry-shaking second, after a shake with ice (rather than the reverse) I'll give that a go next time!

Interesting! It's like a negroni, but instead of a full-on campari bitter punch, it's mellowed with the use of aperol and averna. A more down to earth complex woody flavour.

That is a nice, bold, flavourful cocktail. I hadn't tried Averna until today and I'm an instant fan. The herbal-bitter lingers on the tongue nicely. I like this one!

This is really nice! It really lets the tequilla shine, and the vermouth and touch of sweetness both enhance it, and round it out. I added a touch of salt also, just for fun.

While I think it tastes very nice, and really shows off the vermouth.. the gin seems a bit reduced and the botanicals get a bit lost in there. For my preference I'd amp up the gin or tone down the vermouths, just enough to let more of the gin bite to come through.

This is a nice one... almost ended up with an apple cidery sort of flavour, despite no apple being in the drink. Neat flavour evolution
