A very decent although convoluted riff on a Naked and Famous. Kind of curious why it didn't retain the lime, though.

Chuck the Vodka out. This is the EM variation you need
My EM ranking is ....
1. Aged Grappa
2. Cognac
3. Brandy
4. Young grappa
I'd simply get a different drink if the vodka version is the only option.
I have added a link to the US version of Salers above. Please be aware that not all Salers liqueurs are created equal.
Thank you for that edit and thanks for the heads up about the different versions of Salers. Looks like Salers joins Zubrowka, Dubonnet, etc.
Brilliant drink. Shapiro made this with Salers, as did I, and I don't think Suze or Aveze would work as well given their significantly more prominent citrus notes. I really wish this site would specify Salers when it is called for by the creator of a drink instead of the generic "Gentian Liqueurs" label.
A very nice drink to make with my recently acquired bottle of Lucano. This might also work well with Braulio. Everything is very harmonious! My only quibble is that the coconut water thins out the drink and my tastes run toward the boozier end of things.
I wonder if I could get away with cutting it to 2/3 oz? Maybe boiling down the coconut water?
This is delicious and very refreshing! Basil and cherry tomatoes came from a friend's garden; unclear what type of basil other than both it and the tomatoes were picked fresh!
Used Plantation 3 Star and opted for pickle brine over olive as it felt brighter. Borderline savory cocktail. Probably could pare the orgeat to 1/4 so I didn't need 2 jiggers but a logistical quibble.
Made it exactly as written and thought it was too sweet. 1 or 1/2 tsp of simple syrup should be adequate. Smooth, balanced and rather subtle. Opens up nicely after the pour.
The Meletti is quite sweet so I like to take it down a 1/4oz and bump the tequila up a 1/4oz... Incredible Paper Plane riff!
Brilliant! Using S&C and omitting orgeat are quite bold changes from the more common recipe and yet the drink still feels like a mai tai while having a much spicier edge...
I have made this with both Suze and Aveze, and the latter is distinctly superior.
Lavender sugar syrup is listed twice in the recipe. Is the total amount of syrup to be added 1/4, 3/4 or 1 oz?
These ingredients pair exceptionally well. I used Benham's Old Tom.
A lovely early evening sipper. Given the Oloroso and with a proper dilution, the sugary rim is not essential for my tastes.
Tom cat gin substitutes for the bourbon quite nicely in this cocktail.
Yes, Barr Hill Tom Cat is what I use. I also lower the lime juice to 1/2oz and increase the Falernum up to 3/4 or 1oz. I would make that modification with bourbon or tom cat as the recipe as written is too acidic for my taste.
Very tasty! The mint/chartreuse create a fresh and lively herbal that layers onto the sweetness of the elderflower wonderfully.
How does one measure 1/24 fl oz?
Elderflower liqueur, Falernum liqueur, Lime juice, Creole bitters, Old Tom gin
